Brita Arena

In 2007, SV Wehen, based in Taunusstein, was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga. As the old Wehen stadium was not suitable for the Bundesliga, the club's professional section relocated to Wiesbaden and was renamed SV Wehen Wiesbaden. Within a few months, a stadium that met the DFB's requirements had to be built in order to receive permission to play in the 2nd Bundesliga.

The arena, which is conveniently located close to Wiesbaden's main railway station, was completed in just four months and bears the name Brita-Arena of SV Wehen's longstanding main sponsor. It is a pure soccer stadium without a running track, has a capacity for around 12,000 spectators and is operated by Berliner Straße GmbH & Co KG. The Brita-Arena was opened on October 11, 2007 with a friendly match against Borussia Dortmund.

In 2014, the city of Wiesbaden decided to expand the arena into a permanent facility with a slightly larger capacity.
