The Wiesbadener Brief has been published annually in December since 1982 and reports on events in the city as the year draws to a close. The printed and photographed Wiesbadener Brief is aimed at former Wiesbaden residents and other interested parties all over the world; around 900 copies are sent out each year.

Initially, the former head of the local editorial office of the Wiesbadener Tagblatt, Kurt Buchholz, reported on news from the city on behalf of the Kur- und Verkehrsverein e.V.. His successor since 2012 for the "Friends of the Wiesbaden Foundation" has been Ingeborg Salm-Boost, former head of the Wiesbadener Kurier's local editorial team.
