A special venue is opening in downtown Wiesbaden this May: the WerkRaum Wiesbaden. Through this project, the sam – Stadtmuseum am Markt is participating in the World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain 2026 initiative and will be supporting the WerkRaum in the coming months with its own newsletter.

The WerkRaum sees itself as an open forum for exchange, ideas, and participation. Initiatives from Wiesbaden and the surrounding region come together here to develop and highlight perspectives on social change.

Each month will focus on a specific theme: from community and living spaces to summer in the city and urban stories, to “In Motion” and the question “How do we want to live?”

The museum itself will also be present on site: as a “transparent museum” that offers insights into its work and experiments with new forms of dialogue.
