Author reading at the Literaturhaus: Lena Gorelik presents "All my mothers"

On Monday, April 20, the author and essayist Lena Gorelik will be a guest at the Literaturhaus Villa Clementine, Frankfurter Straße 1, where she will give an insight into her multifaceted work and the topics that occupy her. She will also read from her new novel "All My Mothers", which deals with the many facets of motherhood. The author's reading begins at 7.30 p.m. The evening will be hosted by literary critic Shirin Sojitrawalla (DLF and taz).

At this year’s Leipzig Book Fair, Lena Gorelik was awarded the Literaturhäuser Prize. In *All My Mothers*, she tells the stories of expectant mothers, of daughters under their mothers’ watchful gaze, and of women who terminate their pregnancies. She illuminates these complex connections in a sweeping collage, weaving highly individual perspectives into a larger social fabric. She explores the fears, doubts, and worries, thereby giving space to a multitude of voices that are usually drowned out by the noise of everyday life.

Tickets are available in advance for 12 euros, or 9 euros with a discount, plus a booking fee, at the Wiesbaden Tourist Information Office, Marktplatz 1, phone (0611) 1729930, or online via the Literaturhaus website. At the box office on the night of the event, admission costs 15 euros, or 11 euros with a discount.

The event is organized by the Literaturhaus Villa Clementine/Kulturamt in cooperation with the Network of Literature Houses. Further information is available on the Literaturhaus website at www.wiesbaden.de/literaturhaus (opens in a new tab).
