District heating expansion enters next phase
The next phase of the district heating expansion in Schwalbacher Straße starts on Monday, April 13.
The work is necessary to prepare the Hessian state capital for the future and to enable more climate-friendly heating in the city center as part of the energy transition. In this regard, Wiesbaden is far ahead of many German cities, as ESWE Versorgung has been developing well-designed distribution networks for years.
Changes to traffic routing are necessary for the new construction phase. The fourth lane in the western section of Schwalbacher Straße will be closed. Traffic will then flow from south to east, returning to the eastern side of the road.
Starting Monday, April 20, work will be carried out on Bleichstraße. Unfortunately, turning right from Schwalbacher Straße directly onto Bleichstraße will not be possible for structural reasons. Therefore, the one-way traffic flow will be reversed on both Wellritzstraße and Helenenstraße. In the northern section of Schwalbacher Straße, traffic will then turn right onto Wellritzstraße and be routed along Helenenstraße to reach Bleichstraße.
Since work is currently beginning on Emser Straße, residents should expect increased traffic volume and more no-stopping zones.
ESWE Versorgung thanks you for your understanding and apologizes for any inconvenience.
