Press release of the state capital Wiesbaden

Completion of Schiersteiner Strasse at the junction with Waldstrasse

The construction work by Hessenwasser GmbH in Schiersteiner Straße at Waldstraße was completed on Friday, April 17. Traffic can flow freely again in this area.

Following the partial installation of the new water main, the Civil Engineering and Surveying Office immediately proceeded to renovate the pavement in the closed-off area. Mobile barriers have been set up at the crossings along the construction-related traffic route. This will result in shorter closure times during the second construction phase. The second construction phase will be carried out during the summer break, concurrently with the renovation of an ELW manhole structure.

The State Capital of Wiesbaden would like to thank all residents and road users for their understanding and patience during the construction work, which serves to improve and maintain the city’s infrastructure.

The city regularly renovates roads, utility lines, and sewers. That is why there are approximately 5,000 construction sites in Wiesbaden every year. All of this work is an investment in the future. Without these projects, major damage would occur sooner or later, leading to more severe traffic disruptions.
