Leisure and educational opportunities at your fingertips: WiAktiv continues to grow
Whether it’s a language course, creative workshop, sports activity, family event, or educational program: The WiAktiv leisure and education portal brings together Wiesbaden’s wide range of educational and recreational offerings in one place. WiAktiv is designed for children, teens, adults, seniors, and families, and provides easy access to these opportunities.
The portal helps citizens find suitable opportunities quickly and easily. At the same time, it provides clubs, initiatives, educational institutions, and other organizations with a free way to showcase their offerings.
“With WiAktiv, we’re highlighting the wide variety of educational and recreational opportunities in Wiesbaden. The portal connects people with these opportunities and makes it easier to navigate a very diverse landscape of offerings,” says Dr. Hendrik Schmehl, Head of the Department of Education and Culture.
To raise awareness of the portal even further, the state capital of Wiesbaden is continuing to expand its public relations efforts. Plans include advertising campaigns featuring posters and flyers on street poles and on buses.
“WiAktiv thrives on the diversity and timeliness of the listed offerings. That’s why we welcome every organization that keeps its information up to date and posts new offerings. The more complete the listings are, the easier it is for residents to find suitable leisure and educational opportunities,” says Dr. Schmehl.
Currently, numerous organizations, clubs, and initiatives are showcasing their offerings on WiAktiv. The platform is managed and continuously developed by the Education Office of the State Capital of Wiesbaden. Providers can register for free and enter their offerings themselves.
