The AI assistant is designed to simplify the online application process for driver’s license services. This includes, in particular, the replacement of old driver’s licenses and first-time applications for a driver’s license. The application is designed to scan submitted documents and transfer the required information to the digital application form. This is intended to prevent errors and simplify the application process for citizens as well as for administrative staff. 

During the event, participants will test a version of the AI assistant that is still under development. Among other things, they will assess whether the individual steps are easy to understand, which features are already working well, and where improvements are still needed. No prior technical knowledge is required. 

“Good digital administration is created through direct interaction with the people who will eventually use it. At the Zukunftswerk, citizens can try out the AI assistant for themselves and show us what’s already working well and where improvements are still needed. I’m delighted that we’re able to conduct this practical test in collaboration with the Hessian Ministry of Economics,” says Maral Koohestanian, Head of the Department for Smart City, Europe, and Public Order for the State Capital of Wiesbaden. 

The events will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the following dates:

· Monday, August 10,

· Wednesday, August 12,

· Wednesday, August 19,

· Thursday, August 20. 

The venue is the Zukunftswerk at the Luisenforum, Kirchgasse 6, 2nd floor by the bridge. 

The number of participants is limited to a maximum of 20 people. Advance registration is required at anny.eu/book/usability-testessen (opens in a new tab). 

Participants are asked to bring their ID card or passport, as well as their current driver’s license and, if applicable, their old one. The use of personal documents is voluntary and will only take place with the appropriate consent under data protection law, provided on-site.
