Experience nature in the pheasantry
Over the coming weeks and days, various events from the “Experience Nature” series will take place at the Fasanerie Animal and Botanical Park, located at Wilfried-Ries-Straße 22.
The “Teens in the Park” program lets teens try out survival skills and get creative. The event takes place every two weeks on nine different dates, always on Wednesdays from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. It begins on Wednesday, August 12. The “Nature Explorers at the Fasanerie” will explore nature in and around the Fasanerie on four dates, every other Thursday. Led by Uta Lüdicke, the group will observe animals and plants, feed animals, and engage in creative activities. The event is suitable for children ages seven to ten and costs 36 euros per person. It takes place on Thursday, August 13, August 27, September 10, and September 24, from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. each time. Questions can be directed to erlebencajunade. The “Nature Explorers B” group meets on four dates, every other Friday from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m., starting on Friday, August 14. Carolin Dreesmann leads the program, which is suitable for elementary school-aged children. The children will explore nature, feed animals, and engage in arts and crafts. On Saturday, August 15, from 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., the “Little Household Helpers” event will take place with Ulrike Kluger. Participants will make a colorful organizer for keys and notes out of wood and cork. The event is open to people with and without disabilities, ages four and up.
