Local councils meet

Next week, the local advisory councils of Amöneburg, Erbenheim, Bierstadt, Westend/Bleichstraße, Biebrich, Südost, Schierstein, and Naurod will meet. During the public meetings, residents will have the opportunity to ask questions before the agenda is addressed.

The Amöneburg Local Advisory Council will meet on Tuesday, August 25, at 6:30 p.m. at the Johann-Hinrich-Wichern-Schule, Dyckerhoffstraße 22. Agenda items for the meeting include “Implementation of the local bus route network reform at the end of the Hessian summer break in 2027” and the election of a new local court president for the AKK I local court district (Kastel/Amöneburg). Proposals from the political groups include, among other things, the topics “Strengthening wildfire prevention in Mainz-Amöneburg and protecting emergency responders in AKK” and “Installation of a pedestrian traffic light on Biebricher Straße near the Kaiserbrücke to mitigate the hazard at the Radspindel / Dammweg intersection.”  

The meeting of the Erbenheim Local Advisory Council will take place on Tuesday, August 25, at 7:00 p.m., in the Erbenheim Community Center, Small Hall, Am Bürgerhaus 3. Among other topics, the members will discuss “New Land Use Plan for the State Capital of Wiesbaden—Adoption of the Preliminary Draft” and “Implementation of the local bus route network reform at the end of the Hessian summer vacation in 2027.” In addition, a decision will be made regarding the local advisory board’s funding. 

The Bierstadt Local Advisory Council will hold its upcoming meeting on Wednesday, August 26, at 6:30 p.m., in the Bierstadt Local Administration Office, Meeting Room, 2nd floor, Poststraße 11a. Among other topics, the meeting will address “New Land Use Plan for the State Capital of Wiesbaden—Approval of the Preliminary Draft.” 

The members of the Westend/Bleichstraße Local Council will meet on Wednesday, August 26, at 6:30 p.m., in the Georg-Buch-Haus, event hall, 1st floor, Wellritzstraße 38. Items on the agenda include “New Land Use Plan for the State Capital of Wiesbaden—Adoption of the Preliminary Draft,” “Implementation of the Route Network Reform in Local Bus Service at the End of the Hessian Summer Vacation in 2027,” and “News from the ‘Flotte Ente’ Daycare Center—Presentation.” Faction motions were submitted on the topics “Acquisition of the property at Wellritzstraße / Hellmundstraße,” “Decentralized rainwater collection and use,” “Review of sidewalk parking on the west side of Bismarckring,” and “Status of the St. Elisabeth daycare center.” 

The Biebrich and Southeast Local Advisory Councils will hold a joint meeting on Wednesday, August 26, at 7:00 p.m., in the Galatea Complex, Citizens’ Hall, 1st floor, Straße der Republik. The agenda includes the topic “Rheinhöhe Sports Park—Access via Eco-Mobility, Implementation Proposal.” 

The Schierstein Local Advisory Council meeting will take place on Wednesday, August 26, at 7:00 p.m., in the Schierstein Fire Station, hall, 1st floor, Karl-Lehr-Straße 6. Among other topics, the members will discuss “New Land Use Plan for the State Capital of Wiesbaden—Adoption of the Preliminary Draft,” regarding which a motion has also been submitted by the local council chair. 

The Naurod Local Advisory Council will hold its upcoming meeting on Friday, August 28, at 6:00 p.m., in the Forum Naurod, Main Hall, ground floor, Kellerskopfstraße 4. Topics to be discussed include “New Land Use Plan for the State Capital of Wiesbaden—Resolution on the Preliminary Draft,” “City Council Proposal Regarding Wickerbach Elementary School—Construction of the Gymnasium,” and the Local Advisory Council’s financial resources.
