"Roundtable on Civic Engagement" Invites You to a Networking Event
The Engagement Roundtable invites you to its second networking meeting of the year on Tuesday, October 27, at the Bürgerhaus Sonnenberg, König-Adolf-Straße 6. The meeting is scheduled to take place from 3:30 p.m. to approximately 6:00 p.m.
Committed individuals, organizations, initiatives, and representatives from government and politics are invited. They will receive information about current developments in volunteer work, have the opportunity to share experiences, and make new connections. The focus will be on current support and funding opportunities offered by the State of Hesse and the state capital, Wiesbaden. Among other things, opportunities for financial support from the State of Hesse will be presented. There will also be a presentation on organizing volunteer-led events.
Furthermore, participants will gain insights into new and existing projects in the areas of environmental protection and intercultural dialogue, as well as into the “Volunteer Day 2026” event. “Civic engagement thrives on good ideas, strong networks, and the right framework conditions. With the ‘Roundtable on Civic Engagement,’ we’re bringing people together once again and providing information on concrete support options,” says Ashkan Nekoueian, the Commissioner for Civic Engagement for the state capital of Wiesbaden.
Following the presentations, there will be an opportunity for questions, discussions, and networking. The goal of the networking event is to further expand the dialogue among the various stakeholders in the volunteer sector and to generate joint initiatives to promote civic engagement in Wiesbaden.
Binding registration is open until Friday, October 23. For any questions, please contact the Commissioner for Civic Engagement in the Mayor’s Office, mitWIrken Staff Unit.
