Closure of Kreitzstraße and Hubertusstraße in Biebrich
Kreitzstraße, from Erich-Ollenhauer-Straße to Hubertusstraße No. 7, and Hubertusstraße, from No. 4 to No. 3, will be completely closed to vehicle and bicycle traffic. The closure begins on Monday, August 31, and is expected to last until Friday, February 26.
The reason is the renovation of the sewer and the replacement of the gas line connections.
The closure also affects bicycle traffic. Pedestrians can use their usual routes. The city asks for your understanding regarding the traffic disruptions caused by the work.
The city regularly renovates roads, utility lines, and sewer systems. As a result, there are approximately 5,000 construction sites in Wiesbaden every year. A map showing selected projects is available at www.wiesbaden.de/baustellen (opens in a new tab). If buses are affected, ESWE Verkehr will provide information on detours at www.eswe-verkehr.de (opens in a new tab). All of this work is an investment in the future. Without it, major damage would occur sooner or later, leading to even more severe traffic disruptions.
