Starting at 3:00 p.m., the booths will open with free games and arts-and-crafts activities for children. “Herbert’s Kids’ Show” begins around 3:45 p.m. Drink, barbecue, and waffle stands will be on hand to keep everyone well-fed and hydrated. The musical highlight of the neighborhood festival will be a performance by Dominick Thomas, the “Soul Voice of the Rheingau.” From 6 to 8 p.m., the singer will liven up the festival grounds with live music. To wrap up the event, starting at 8:00 p.m., all visitors are invited to a communal “sing-along” at the church of the Protestant Lukas Congregation across from the festival grounds. Under the direction of Wiesbaden-based choir director Leo Heidingsfelder, participants will sing popular songs from the genres of Schlager, pop, and rock together. Participation is free of charge.
