Neighborhood Walking Tours: “Seeing Wiesbaden Through Different Eyes” in August and September
Discover Wiesbaden beyond the well-known sights: The neighborhood walking tours, themed “Seeing Wiesbaden Through Different Eyes,” will continue in August and September. The Office of Social Work, in collaboration with the Evangelical Deanery of Wiesbaden, invites you to explore Gräselberg, Amöneburg, and—for the first time—the Inner Westend from new perspectives.
The neighborhood walks are deliberately designed to take participants to areas that are often overlooked on traditional city tours and private excursions. The focus is not only on the history of these neighborhoods, but also on their development, their unique characteristics, and the local people and institutions. The goal is to highlight the potential of these often-underappreciated neighborhoods, break down reservations, and offer even long-time Wiesbaden residents new insights into their city.
The next dates are:
· Saturday, August 15, 4:30 p.m.: Gräselberg, starting point: Gräselberg Community Center, Villacher Straße 3
· Friday, August 21, 4:00 p.m.: Amöneburg, starting point: Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe e. V., Wiesbadener Landstraße 80–82
· Saturday, September 19, 3:00 p.m.: Inner Westend (part of the series for the first time this year), starting point: Georg-Buch-Haus, entrance at Wellritzstraße 38
Participation is free of charge. Each tour lasts about two to two and a half hours. Registration is not required for the upcoming dates.
