Gas Leak on Schiersteiner Straße in Southeast
Due to a gas leak on Schiersteiner Straße between Willy-Brandt-Allee and Konrad-Adenauer-Ring in the direction heading toward the city center, the two left-turn lanes must be partially closed. However, it is still possible to turn left from Schiersteiner Straße onto Konrad-Adenauer-Ring. The restrictions are expected to remain in place until Friday, August 21.
The closure also affects bicycle traffic. Pedestrians can use their usual routes. The city asks for your understanding for the traffic obstructions associated with the work.
The city regularly renews roads, pipes and sewers. This is why there are around 5,000 construction sites in Wiesbaden every year. A map with selected measures is available at wiesbaden.de/baustellen (opens in a new tab). If buses are affected, ESWE Verkehr provides information about detour at eswe-verkehr.de (opens in a new tab). All the work is an investment in the future. Without the work, sooner or later there would be major damage and therefore greater traffic disruption.
