The event kicks off with Connichi, running from Friday, September 4, through Sunday, September 6. The anime and manga convention has been held at the RMCC for several years and draws fans from throughout the German-speaking world to Wiesbaden. And the event’s presence is by no means limited to the RMCC itself: Numerous participants—known as cosplayers—use Wiesbaden’s landmarks and unique locations as backdrops for their elaborately designed costumes, such as this year’s Neroberg and Nerotal, the Bergkirchen district, and the Kurhaus with its Bowling Green, Theater Colonnade, and the adjacent Warmer Damm. The resulting photos and videos are widely shared on social media, helping to raise Wiesbaden’s digital profile and showcase its unique backdrops. 

Art lovers will find plenty to enjoy from Friday, September 11, through Sunday, September 13, at the ARTe Art Fair in Wiesbaden. Across approximately 5,000 square meters, galleries and artists from the region, Germany, and abroad will present works of classical modernism and contemporary art—ranging from painting and photography to sculptures and installations. 

At the same time, the 6th Health Information Day, organized by VRM, will take place on Saturday, September 12, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Doctors, clinics, specialists, and regional service providers will provide information on medical developments, prevention, and various health topics. This free event will be complemented by lectures and opportunities for personal consultations. Last year, more than 1,300 visitors took advantage of the event. 

The calendar for the convention and conference area is also packed for the coming months. On Thursday, September 17, the Cloud X Summit will take place in Wiesbaden, focusing on concrete paths to digital sovereignty, technological independence, and the highest level of data security. This marks the Cloud X Summit’s first time at the RMCC, bringing together experts and executives from the German and European technology sectors in Wiesbaden. 

In October, the program includes, among other events, the 21st German Allergy Congress from Thursday, October 1, through Saturday, October 3; the German Road and Transportation Congress from October 14 through 16; and the international Service Design Global Conference from October 28 through 30. 

November will feature the 34th Annual Conference of the German Society for Sleep Research and Sleep Medicine (DGSM) (November 5–7), the German Human Resources Summit (November 11–12), the German Wood Congress (November 18–19), and a dealer conference hosted by a major automotive group. The DGSM Annual Conference also marked the addition of a new event to the RMCC’s calendar this year. 

These events throughout the year not only ensure high occupancy rates at the RMCC but also make an important contribution to value creation in Wiesbaden: “Conferences, meetings, trade shows, and other events are a key economic driver for Wiesbaden. The hotel industry, restaurants, retail, and numerous service providers all benefit from this. The RMCC thus makes a significant contribution to Wiesbaden’s economic development and its visibility beyond the region. At the same time, the venue impresses with its great versatility: within just a few days, a convention can be transformed into an art fair, a trade conference into a health-focused event, or a large-scale stage production. This versatility makes the RMCC attractive to event organizers and strengthens Wiesbaden’s position as an event destination,” explains Matthias Fromm, Managing Director of Wiesbaden Congress & Marketing GmbH (WICM). 

At the end of the year, the RMCC will once again change its setting: On Thursday, December 31, the classical ballet “The Nutcracker,” accompanied by an orchestra, will be performed at the RheinMain CongressCenter.

Anyone who would like to get to know the RMCC outside of an event and take a look behind the scenes will have the opportunity to do so on Tuesday, September 8, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. In the lead-up to the 9th Hesse Sustainability Day, Wiesbaden Congress & Marketing GmbH is offering a free guided tour of the RheinMain CongressCenter. 

Together with Ulrike Theis, an expert on events and conferences at the Wiesbaden convention center, and WICM Sustainability Manager Robert Frowein, participants will learn how sustainability and functionality are integrated into the day-to-day operations of the convention center.
