Press release of the state capital Wiesbaden

WiMobil Runs Earlier and Further

The Wiesbaden-based on-demand shuttle service WiMobil is expanding its service starting Monday, August 10. It will now depart earlier and serve a significantly larger area.

The WiMobil has been very well received by passengers and, in its current form, has been operating in Biebrich since November 2025 within a limited area divided into two zones, A and B. Based on the positive feedback received, ESWE Verkehr is expanding the service; in the future, it will operate Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. Previously, the earliest possible trip was at 7:00 a.m. On Saturdays, the service will be available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Starting Monday, August 10, Zone A will also include the area served by ELW Entsorgungsbetriebe. In the future, “Ferdinand-Knettenbrech-Weg,” “Untere Zwerchweg,” and the “Waste Management Center” will be available as bookable stops there.

The previous Zone B has been expanded to include stops at “Rathaus Biebrich,” “Armenruhstraße,” “Mainstraße,” “Rheinufer/Nachbarschaftshaus,” “Rheinufer/Wilhelm-Kopp-Straße,” and “Rheinufer/Rheingaustraße.” This means the zone now extends all the way to the banks of the Rhine.

In addition, the WiMobil is getting a new, attractive design. The vehicle is now on the road in Biebrich with its fresh new look.

Passengers can still easily book the WiMobil via the OnDemand@RMV app or (after prior registration) by phone at (069) 24248172.
