Registration Office Temporarily Closed Due to System Migration
Due to a major and necessary system upgrade, the registration office will be closed on Thursday, September 10, and Friday, September 11.
Starting Monday, September 14, the Registration Office will once again be open to the public during its regular business hours. In-person visits are still only possible by prior appointment.
To schedule an appointment, please use the online portal: https://dtms.wiesbaden.de/DTMSTerminWeb/ (opens in a new tab)
There will also be restrictions on digital services due to the system migration. From Monday, September 7, through Wednesday, September 16, the online portal for registering, re-registering, or deregistering vehicles will be unavailable. Citizens are therefore asked to complete any necessary transactions before the restrictions take effect, if possible, and to take this into account when planning their schedules.
The Vehicle Registration Authority asks for your understanding regarding these temporary restrictions. The system migration is necessary to establish the technical infrastructure required for the reliable operation of the Vehicle Registration Authority.
There is still an option for urgently needed vehicle de-registrations: These can be processed at any vehicle registration office, regardless of place of residence.
The Vehicle Registration Authority recommends using this option only when absolutely necessary.
