Supervisory Board Appoints Nils Teske as Managing Director of WVV Wiesbaden Holding
The Supervisory Board of WVV Wiesbaden Holding GmbH has appointed Nils Teske as the company’s new managing director. He will assume his duties on September 1, 2026. By appointing Nils Teske well in advance, the Supervisory Board is laying the groundwork for a smooth transition. Together with Bernadette Boot, he will gradually take over the management of the company until she steps down at the end of the year.
At the beginning of the year, Bernadette Boot had asked the Supervisory Board to terminate her executive contract early, effective Thursday, December 31, for family reasons. The Supervisory Board has granted this request. With her early decision, Bernadette Boot has deliberately laid the groundwork for a structured succession process. With the help of an external HR consulting firm, a professional selection process was therefore set up quickly but without time pressure.
The Supervisory Board thanks Bernadette Boot for her successful work at the helm of WVV. Over the past few years, she has led the holding company with a high level of professional expertise, strategic vision, and great reliability. She is handing over a well-positioned holding company with strong investments and a clear strategic direction.
Nils Teske, a manager with extensive experience in the municipal sector, will assume responsibility for WVV. Most recently, he served as managing director of MAG Mainzer Aufbaugesellschaft. With his combination of operational leadership experience, knowledge of municipal structures and decision-making processes, and strategic vision, he brings the ideal qualifications for leading a holding company that operates at the intersection of municipal responsibilities and commercial activities.
WVV faces demanding challenges in the coming years—ranging from investments in the energy and mobility transitions to challenging macroeconomic conditions and the financial pressures facing municipalities and municipal companies. The Supervisory Board is therefore committed to continuity in the strategic direction as well as the consistent continuation of the transformation processes already underway.
Mayor Gert-Uwe Mende, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of WVV Wiesbaden Holding, states: “Bernadette Boot has led WVV in recent years with great dedication, a high level of expertise, and a clear strategic vision. I would like to express my sincere thanks to her for her successful work and our trusting collaboration. At the same time, I am pleased that we have been able to appoint Nils Teske as Managing Director, who has firsthand experience in both the strategic management of municipal companies and day-to-day operations. Together, we will continue on the path we have set out on and guide WVV safely through the challenges ahead.”
