Press release of the state capital Wiesbaden

Bus Detours Due to Construction Work on Schiersteiner Straße

Due to civil engineering work being carried out by Hessenwasser GmbH, buses on routes 8 and N9 will be rerouted from Monday, July 6, at the start of service, until Wednesday, August 5 (tentatively).

Buses heading toward downtown will depart from the “Jägerstraße” stop, travel along Dostojewskistraße and Teutonenstraße, and proceed to the temporary stop “Waldstraße” on Schiersteiner Straße. They will then continue on their regular route.

Toward Steinberger Straße/Biebrich, buses departing from the “Schiersteiner Straße” stop will continue straight ahead in the left lane to Konrad-Adenauer-Ring, where they will serve the “Klopstockstraße” stop. They will then proceed via Dostojewskistraße to the temporary stop “Waldstraße,” continue along Waldstraße, and then return to their normal route. During the construction work, the stops “Paulinenklinik,” “Willy-Brandt-Allee,” and “Waldstraße” will be omitted.

Please take these changes into account when planning your trips and allow for extra time if necessary. Additional general information is available at the timetable kiosks at the affected stops. Up-to-date schedule information can also be found on the interactive route map at www.netzplan-wiesbaden.de (opens in a new tab). An overview of all detour notices is available at www.eswe-verkehr.de (opens in a new tab).

The ESWE Transportation Service Hotline is available Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at (0611) 45022450. Timetable and fare information is also available through the Rhein-Main Transport Association’s hotline, which operates 24 hours a day, every day, at (069) 24248024.
