The incidents occurred in the upper eastern section of the South Cemetery. The thieves targeted metal letters and ornaments on headstones, as well as other metal objects on the graves. In the process, the perpetrators destroyed decorations, pulled out flowers, and damaged headstones. 

The Parks Department has already notified the police and recommends that affected family members check the graves and, if necessary, file a police report against persons unknown. More than a hundred gravesites in sections E30, E32, U20, U19, U18, U13, U22, and U21 have been affected.

Employees of the Wiesbaden Parks and Recreation Department have been made aware of the situation and are exercising increased vigilance. Visitors to all cemeteries in Wiesbaden are asked to call the police or the Public Order Office if they observe anything suspicious.
