Sewer work on Glarusstraße in Biebrich is being delayed
Glarusstraße will remain completely closed until Wednesday, August 19, from the Breslauer Straße roundabout to the Teplitzstraße/Pfälzer Straße residential area. This is due to concrete work on the roadway following civil engineering work to replace an outlet channel for the Waste Management Services of the State Capital of Wiesbaden (ELW).
The closure also affects bicycle traffic. Residents and businesses in the area will still be able to access their properties at all times. A detour has been set up and is signposted via Kasteler Straße, Albertstraße, and Rheingaustraße. Pedestrians can use their usual routes. The city asks for your understanding regarding the traffic disruptions associated with the work.
The city regularly renovates roads, utility lines, and sewers. That is why there are approximately 5,000 construction sites in Wiesbaden every year. A map showing selected projects is available at wiesbaden.de/baustellen (opens in a new tab). If buses are affected, ESWE Verkehr will provide information on detours at eswe-verkehr.de (opens in a new tab). All of this work is an investment in the future. Without these projects, major damage would occur sooner or later, leading to more severe traffic disruptions.
