To the Caligari with the Seniors' Advisory Council

The Senior Citizens’ Advisory Council in the state capital of Wiesbaden, in cooperation with the Caligari Filmbühne (Marktplatz 9), invites you to a screening of “Calle Malaga” on Tuesday, August 11, at 3:30 p.m., as part of the “Rückblende – Film ab” series. Admission is 6 euros for all age groups.

About the Film: María Ángeles, 79, has lived for decades on Calle Málaga in the Spanish quarter of the Moroccan city of Tangier. Her apartment is a piece of home to her. One day, due to financial problems, her daughter Clara decides to sell the apartment, which was once transferred to her by her father. María Ángeles is forced to move into a nursing home, and her furniture is sold to the antique dealer Abslam. She secretly returns to her former apartment and begins to settle back in. She receives support from a network of neighbors. She also gradually buys her furniture back from Abslam. A bond slowly develops between the two out of their business relationship (Morocco, France, Spain, Germany, Belgium 2025; 117 minutes, FSK 12, Director: Maryam Touzani, Cast: Carmen Maura, Marta Etura, Ahmed Boulane, Miguel Garcés, and others).
