"Belle Wi" Sample Exhibition: Consulting Services After the Summer Break
The “Belle Wi” showroom, located at Föhrer Straße 74, is back after its summer break and is offering two additional free consultation sessions in August: one on vision loss and the other on using digital devices. No registration is required.
On Tuesday, August 4, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., Thomas Sauer from “Blickpunkt Auge Wiesbaden” will answer individual questions on the topic of vision loss. What assistive devices make reading and navigation easier? What legal and financial entitlements do those affected have? How can I adapt my daily routine as my vision declines? Those interested can try out various assistive devices on-site. “Blickpunkt Auge” is a program offered by the self-help organization Blinden- und Sehbehindertenbund e.V. in Hesse. New to the model exhibition is advice from digital guides on Thursday, August 13, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. This service, provided by volunteers, is primarily aimed at seniors who have questions about smartphones, tablets, or using the internet.
In the “Belle Wi” model exhibition, the Office of Social Work presents solutions for making homes comfortable and accessible: on the one hand, various assistive devices and renovation options; on the other, helpful technology. The free permanent exhibition is open on Tuesdays from 2 to 6 p.m. and on Thursdays from 1 to 5 p.m. Guided tours for groups are available by appointment.
