New self-help group for people suffering from depression, anxiety, and panic disorders launches
On Wednesday, August 19, at 8 p.m., a new self-help group for people suffering from depression, anxiety, and panic disorders invites you to its inaugural meeting.
The group meetings take place in the “Aaron Antonovsky” self-help group room (Room 0.005) at the Wiesbaden Public Health Department (Konradinerallee 11, Entrance A). Please register at ansageandietraurigkeitwebde. The meetings are scheduled to take place every other week, on the first and third Wednesdays of each month, from 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The “Ansage an die Traurigkeit” self-help group focuses on depression, anxiety, and panic disorders. It does not matter how the depression or anxiety disorder developed. The focus is on sharing experiences among those affected in a safe environment and coping with grief together.
There are about 100 self-help groups in Wiesbaden whose members meet regularly to discuss illnesses and their consequences. They are supported by the Self-Help Contact Center, which is based at the Public Health Department. Citizens looking for a suitable self-help group can also contact this office via email at gesundheitsfoerderungwiesbadende or by phone at (0611) 313777 or 317629.
