Wheel Spindle at the Kaiser Bridge in Kastel: Preparatory Work Begins
On Monday, August 3, preparatory work will begin on the construction of the new wheel spindle at the Kaiserbrücke in Kastel. The official groundbreaking ceremony will be held on Monday, August 24. The Civil Engineering Office is currently planning for a construction period of about 18 months.
During the construction phase, bicycle traffic between the Kaiserbrücke and the Rhein Port marina will be rerouted via Biebricher Straße. Appropriate signage will be installed.
The Kaiserbrücke will generally remain open to pedestrians and cyclists. Temporary restrictions may occur only during short, limited periods.
