Full closure of Platter Straße
Platter Straße in Wiesbaden will be completely closed between house numbers 112 and 124 and between house numbers 35 and 47, likely through Friday, July 31.
The reason for this is civil engineering work to repair a water main break and replace water service connections on behalf of ESWE Versorgungs AG.
The closure also affects bicycle traffic. Pedestrians can use their usual routes. The city asks for your understanding regarding the traffic disruptions associated with the work.
The city regularly renovates roads, utility lines, and sewers. As a result, there are approximately 5,000 construction sites in Wiesbaden every year. A map showing selected projects is available at wiesbaden.de/baustellen (opens in a new tab). If buses are affected, ESWE Verkehr will provide information on detours at eswe-verkehr.de (opens in a new tab). All of this work represents an investment in the future. Without these projects, major damage would occur sooner or later, leading to more severe traffic disruptions.
