Press release of the state capital Wiesbaden

Complete closure of the street “Am Simmler” in Frauenstein

On “Am Simmler” Street, near house number 32, the roadway will be completely closed from Friday, July 24, through Friday, September 4 (tentatively). This is due to work to replace the electrical service connection, commissioned by SW-Netz GmbH.

Residents of “Am Simmler” from house number 34 to 33 can access their properties via “Zum Grauen Stein.”

The closure also affects bicycle traffic; pedestrians may use their usual routes. The city asks for your understanding regarding the traffic disruptions caused by the construction work.

The city regularly renovates roads, utility lines, and sewers. As a result, there are approximately 5,000 construction sites in Wiesbaden every year. A map showing selected projects is available at wiesbaden.de/baustellen (opens in a new tab). If buses are affected, ESWE Verkehr will provide information on detours at eswe-verkehr.de (opens in a new tab). All of this work is an investment in the future. Without these projects, major damage would occur sooner or later, leading to more severe traffic disruptions.
