Complete closure of the railroad crossing on Freudenbergstraße in Schierstein
Due to the upcoming major renovation of the rail line between Troisdorf and Wiesbaden, Deutsche Bahn AG is carrying out extensive renovation work on Freudenbergstraße. As a result, the railroad crossing will be completely closed from Thursday, August 6, through Tuesday, August 11, and from Thursday, August 20, through Thursday, August 27.
Pedestrians can use the underpass on Dachsbergstraße to access Schönaustraße. The closure also affects bicycle traffic.
A detour route for vehicle traffic via Stielstraße, Saarstraße, and Karl-Lehr-Straße will be set up and clearly marked.
Starting Sunday, July 14, and continuing until around mid-December, work on the rail yard will take place with one side of the road closed. The entrance from Schneebergstraße/Dachsbergstraße will be closed during this time. The pedestrian underpass at Dachsbergstraße/Eisenmännchenstraße will also be closed at this location.
If buses are affected, ESWE Verkehr will provide information about detours at eswe-verkehr.de (opens in a new tab). All of this work is an investment in the future. Without these improvements, major damage would occur sooner or later, leading to more severe traffic disruptions.
