Construction work on the Gustav-Stresemann-Ring in Südost
The first construction phase for the renewal of the supply lines on Gustav-Stresemann-Ring between Viktoriastrasse and Mainzer Strasse will start on Monday, June 15 and is expected to last until Saturday, July 4. The overall construction project is divided into several construction phases and will be carried out both this year and next year.
During the first phase of construction, Viktoriastraße will be completely closed at the intersection with Gustav-Stresemann-Ring. A single-lane traffic configuration (in the direction of downtown) will be set up on Gustav-Stresemann-Ring at the intersection with Viktoriastraße
The partial closure also affects bicycle traffic. Pedestrians can use their usual routes. The city asks for your understanding regarding the traffic disruptions associated with the work.
The city regularly renovates roads, utility lines, and sewers. That is why there are approximately 5,000 construction sites in Wiesbaden every year. A map highlighting selected projects is available at wiesbaden.de/baustellen. If buses are affected, ESWE Verkehr will provide information on detours at eswe-verkehr.de (opens in a new tab). All of this work is an investment in the future. Without these projects, major damage would occur sooner or later, leading to more severe traffic disruptions.
