Bülowplatz: Construction work to end on schedule despite interruption
The construction work to redesign Bülowplatz in Wiesbaden's city center will have to be interrupted for two to three weeks, but should still be completed on schedule.
This is due to the pending delivery of the new paving stones needed to connect the new structure to the existing building, as well as the delivery of the custom-made blocks for the waterworks, which are still in production. As soon as the materials are delivered, work will resume, so that the redesigned square is expected to open on schedule in August.
Following the ceremonial groundbreaking in early February, the old paving slabs were first removed and the excavation pits for the foundations were dug. In the meantime, the green interior area has been prepared and planted with shrubs and perennials, which will be watered intensively in the coming weeks. The future design of Bülowplatz as a micro-oasis within the dense urban landscape is already evident.
