The Wiesbaden Lions Club Supports Youth Centers in the Eastern Suburbs with a Donation of Pillows

The Mobile Youth Work program in the eastern suburbs received about 30 high-quality pillows from the Wiesbaden Lions Club for the youth centers in Delkenheim, Kloppenheim, Naurod, and Nordenstadt. The donation was presented on Friday, June 26. The pillows were collected through a charity drive organized by the Lions Club and are intended to make the youth centers even more inviting.

Youth centers are important gathering places for young people. Here, they can spend their free time, meet friends, take advantage of youth programs, and find people to talk to. The new pillows will be used in several youth centers in the eastern suburbs.

“As the Lions Club, it’s important to us to support local people and organizations. Our fundraising efforts are meant to have an impact where they’re needed most. We’re delighted that the cushions will be used by young people in the youth centers and can thus make a small contribution to a pleasant atmosphere,” said Mike Bertsch, president of the Wiesbaden Lions Club.

Dr. Patricia Becher, Head of Social Affairs, thanked the Lions Club for its support: “Youth centers are important places for young people to come together, experience a sense of community, and find support. This donation shows how much can be achieved when local stakeholders get involved to support young people in their city. Such collaborations strengthen community cohesion and make a direct impact where it’s needed most.”

The connection with Mobile Youth Services was established through Lions member Heiko Löhr. The cushions will now be distributed to the youth centers in Delkenheim, Kloppenheim, Naurod, and Nordenstadt.

Ingmar Brix, director of Mobile Youth Work in the eastern suburbs, also expressed his gratitude for the donation: “Our youth centers thrive when young people feel at home there. We are very pleased about the support and that the pillows can now be used in several neighborhoods.”

The state capital of Wiesbaden thanks the Wiesbaden Lions Club for its commitment to open children’s and youth programs.
