Local councils meet
Next week, the local advisory councils of Sonnenberg, Kastel, and Schierstein will meet. During the public meetings, residents will have the opportunity to ask questions before the agenda is addressed.

The Sonnenberg Local Advisory Council will meet on Tuesday, June 23, at 7:00 p.m., at the Sonnenberg Local Administration Office, Hofgartenplatz 1. Topics for the meeting include “New Land Use Plan for the State Capital of Wiesbaden – Adoption of the Preliminary Draft,” “Orange Bench – Report from the Civil Engineering Office,” and a proposal for the election of a lay judge for the Wiesbaden VII district (Sonnenberg-Rambach).” A motion from a political faction has been submitted regarding the item “Road Repairs on Obere Flandernstraße.”
The meeting of the Kastel Local Advisory Council will take place on Tuesday, June 23, at 7:00 p.m., in the Kastel/Kostheim Local Administration building, meeting room, St. Veiter Platz 1. Among other things, the members will discuss the following items: “Federal Model Project on the Istanbul Convention: Selection of a Model Neighborhood and Presentation to the Local Advisory Council,” “Mainz-Kastel – Färcherweg / Flößerweg,” and “Motions from the Children’s Parliament.” Faction motions will address the topics “Status and Outlook for the Ostfeld Urban Development Project Following the Federal Administrative Court’s Approval of Further Revisions,” “Night Walk,” “Review of the traffic light timing at ‘An der Helling’,” and “Barrier-free expansion of the Mainz-Kastel train station: No further delays—DB InfraGO is to report to the local council.”
The Schierstein Local Advisory Council will hold its upcoming meeting on Wednesday, June 24, at 7:00 p.m., at the Schierstein Local Administration Office, Room 3, ground floor, Karl-Lehr-Straße 6. Among other topics, the meeting will address “Water Quality in the Harbor,” “Participation in the Federal Model Project on the Istanbul Convention,” and the working groups’ reports. Party-faction motions have been submitted regarding the items “Redesign of the Deutsche Bahn pedestrian underpass at Schierstein Station” and “Picnic benches for Schierstein.”
