Local councils meet
Next week, the local advisory councils of Amöneburg, Rambach, Erbenheim, Klarenthal, Dotzheim, Kostheim, Biebrich, Bierstadt, Auringen, Westend/Bleichstraße, and Mitte will meet. During the public meetings, residents will have the opportunity to ask questions before the agenda is addressed.

The Amöneburg Local Advisory Council will meet on Tuesday, June 16, at 6:30 p.m., at the Johann-Hinrich-Wichern School, 22 Dyckerhoffstraße. Among other things, the meeting will address the preliminary draft of the new land use plan as well as funding.
The Rambach Local Advisory Board will meet on Tuesday, June 16, at 7:00 p.m., at the Protestant Community Center, Community Hall, Kirchweg 1. The agenda includes, among other things, the municipal heating plan and funding.
The Erbenheim Local Advisory Board will meet on Tuesday, June 16, at 7 p.m., at the Erbenheim Community Center, Small Hall, Am Bürgerhaus 3. The local council members will discuss, among other things, the “Young Living North of Emil-Krag-Straße” development plan, the policy proposal for the construction of a 5-group daycare center and a volunteer fire station in the Erbenheim South residential area,“An der Käßmühle,” funding, and the topic of “making utility boxes more attractive.”
The Klarenthal Local Advisory Board will meet on Tuesday, June 16, at 7:30 p.m., in the church hall of the Protestant Community Center, Graf-von-Galen-Straße 32. Topics to be discussed at the meeting include the federal model project on the Istanbul Convention, municipal heat planning, the preliminary draft of the new land-use plan, safer pedestrian crossings on Otto-Wels-Straße, the reactivation of the Aartalbahn, fiber-optic expansion, and funding.
The Dotzheim Local Advisory Board will meet on Wednesday, June 17, at 6:30 p.m., at the Dotzheim Local Administration Office/House of Associations, ground-floor hall, Im Wiesengrund 14. The local council members will discuss, among other things, leaseholds in Dotzheim, traffic calming measures on Straßenmühlenweg, the red high-rise building, the reactivation of the Aartalbahn, resilience and safety, as well as funding.
The Kostheim Local Advisory Board will meet on Wednesday, June 17, at 6:30 p.m., at the Kastel/Kostheim Local Administration Office, meeting room, St. Veiter Platz 1. Items on the agenda include “Brüder-Grimm-Schule; “School route safety,” funding, “Promoting safe spaces for women through security, prevention, and digital services,” “Special Olympics Hessen 2029 in Wiesbaden, Kostheim as a venue,” “Bridge on the Kastel route/Kostheim junction,” “Transparent disclosure and presentation of plans for traffic management and closures by the municipal administration and Hessen Mobil,” and “Traffic safety at the intersection of Im Sampel/Teufelssprung/Am Rübenberg.”
The Biebrich Local Council will meet on Wednesday, June 17, at 6:30 p.m., in the Biebrich Local Administration building, meeting room, Rathausstraße 63. Among other things, the meeting will address information regarding planned detours due to the renovation of the railway line on the right bank of the Rhine and the closure of the Gibb railroad crossing. Also on the agenda are the topics “Rathenauplatz – Proposal for the redesign of the northern area,” “Project Presentation: Paving in Biebrich,” the preliminary draft of the new land-use plan, a status report on the property at Adolf-Todt-Straße 10, the installation of watering troughs and their regular filling, the use of land on the Gräselberg, the status of the reuse of the former Freiherr-vom-Stein-Schule building, and funding.
The Bierstadt Local Advisory Council will meet on Wednesday, June 17, at 6:30 p.m., in the Bierstadt Local Administration building, meeting room, Poststraße 11a. In addition to funding, the agenda includes the implementation proposal for the construction of a 7-group daycare center in Bierstadt Nord by SEG, as well as the topics “Clean Paths for Children — a multi-stage action plan against dog waste with a focus on daycare centers and schools” and “Bicycle Traffic in Bierstadt.”
The Auringen Local Advisory Board will meet on Wednesday, June 17, at 7 p.m., at the Auringen Local Administration Office, Kirchenhügel 3. The local council members will discuss, among other things, the preliminary draft of the new land use plan, municipal heating planning, the expansion of the bike path between “Auringer Mühle” and “An der Auringer Mühle,” as well as funding.
The Westend/Bleichstraße Local Advisory Board will meet on Wednesday, June 17, at 7:30 p.m., in the Georg-Buch-Haus event hall, Wellritzstraße 38. The meeting will address, among other things, municipal heating planning, funding, the rezoning of the lower section of Bülowstraße along with its naming, and the topic “Ensuring the mobility transition in the city center—without jeopardizing health protection and traffic safety.”
The Mitte Local Advisory Board will meet on Thursday, June 18, at 6:30 p.m., at City Hall, Room 22, Schlossplatz 6. The agenda includes, among other items, municipal heating planning, the partial closure of a section of Gemeindebadgässch under road regulations, the venue of kuenstlerhaus43, the preliminary draft of the new land use plan, as well as the topics “Ensuring the mobility transition in the city center – without jeopardizing public health and traffic safety,” “Extended opening hours in the summer until 4:00 p.m. for the Wiesbaden weekly market,” and funding.
