Press release of the state capital Wiesbaden

Repair café with sewing station in the Umweltladen

The Repair Café on Tour will once again be visiting the Umweltladen at Luisenstraße 19 on Saturday, June 27. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., experienced volunteers will use screwdrivers and soldering irons to give broken electronic devices and children’s toys a new lease on life.

You can also bring in clothing and repair it yourself with guidance. For minor damage such as missing buttons, small holes, or come-undone seams, assistance is provided so that you can mend the garments yourself.

Items in need of repair can be dropped off at the Umweltladen by 11:30 a.m. and picked up again by 2:00 p.m.

The Repair Café aims to extend the lifespan of everyday items and conserve resources. This initiative not only contributes to environmental protection but also supports low-income households, for whom repairs or new purchases often pose a financial barrier. Further information is available at www.wiesbaden.de/repair-cafe (opens in a new tab).
