City cycling celebrates World Bicycle Day
To mark World Bicycle Day on Wednesday, June 3, the Cycling Office of the State Capital of Wiesbaden, together with the ADFC Wiesbaden and the ADFC Mainz-Bingen, are organizing an after-work tour "After-Work Brückenschlag".
The bike tour starts at 5:00 p.m. at Wiesbaden Central Station and in MZ-Kastel from Reduit/Rheinufer heading toward the Schierstein Bridge. Both tours will meet at approximately 5:45 p.m. at the foot of the Schierstein Bridge to ride together across the bridge to Mainz on the suspended bike path.
The route then leads through Mainz via Mombach and Neustadt, back over the Theodor-Heuss-Brücke to Kransand in MZ-Kastel. A joint wrap-up with a relaxed bike party is planned there starting at 6:30 p.m.
Until Saturday, June 20, everyone who lives, works, goes to school, or belongs to a club in Wiesbaden is invited, under the motto “Covering Miles Together,” to travel as many routes as possible by bike and collect kilometers.
