Press release of the state capital Wiesbaden

Wiesbaden steps up: "Kidical Mass" children's bicycle parade

As part of this year's city cycling event, the Cycling Office of the State Capital of Wiesbaden and the ADFC Wiesbaden are organizing the "Kidical Mass" children's bicycle parade on Saturday, 13 June.

The bike parade starts at 3 p.m. at the Dern’schen Gelände. The child- and family-friendly tour lasts about 75 minutes and runs from downtown to the Rettbergsaue in Schierstein.

“Kidical Mass” is a global movement. It draws attention to the needs of children in traffic and advocates for safe and livable streets—for children and all generations. In addition to the fun of cycling, however, our agenda also includes serious demands, such as ensuring that all children and young people can move around the city safely and independently by bike and on foot.

The City Cycling campaign runs through Saturday, June 20, under the motto “Covering Miles Together.” The goal is to cover as many routes as possible by bike and collect kilometers.  This year there is an extensive supporting program; current information on dates can be found at adfc-wiesbaden.de/stadtradeln (opens in a new tab). Questions can be directed to the Bicycle Office at the City Civil Engineering and Surveying Department at stadtradelnwiesbadende. Data on cycling in Wiesbaden can be found on the cycling dashboard at wiesbaden.de/leben-in-wiesbaden/mobilitaet/radverkehr/Datenwelt-Fahrradnutzung-in-Wiesbaden (opens in a new tab).
