The festival is open to everyone, regardless of age, background, or gender. It invites you to listen, engage with the topics, join in conversations, and celebrate together. As a sociocultural center, the Kreativfabrik Wiesbaden provides the ideal setting for a festival that highlights feminist perspectives and creates space for art, dialogue, and participation. The Feminist Festival serves as an open stage for women from the arts, culture, society, and academia. Here, women are given the space to share their perspectives, experiences, and forms of expression and to foster dialogue on equality, participation, and social responsibility. The stage is not only a venue for artistic performance but also a mirror of social structures. Women are still underrepresented—or portrayed as stereotypes—particularly in the arts, culture, and public discourse. The festival takes a stand against this and puts female voices, in all their diversity, at the center. 

The festival program is diverse and combines various formats: dance, music, singing, theater, comedy, and literary presentations are paired with informative segments and interactive elements. Artistic performances alternate with spoken-word segments and discussion sessions, bringing feminist themes to life from different perspectives. 

The event will open with welcoming remarks by Mayor Gert-Uwe Mende, Mayor Christiane Hinninger, and Mechthilde Coigné, Chair of the Committee on Women, Equality, and Safety. They will place International Women’s Day and the festival within a social and political context.
