Many minor bike problems can be fixed on your own with a little know-how and the right techniques. In these four-hour courses, Wolfgang Stallmann from the Allgemeiner Deutscher Fahrrad-Club (ADFC) shares practical knowledge about maintenance and minor repairs. Step by step, participants learn how to properly maintain their bikes, identify common problems, and perform simple repairs on their own. The goal is to be able to ride your bike safely and extend its lifespan.

The beginner courses are designed for anyone who wants to learn basic maintenance tasks and perform minor repairs on their own in the future. They will take place on Saturdays, April 11, June 6, August 1, and October 10.

The advanced courses cover more challenging tasks. These include, among other things, replacing brake pads, properly adjusting brakes, and replacing shift cables. These courses are offered on Saturdays, May 2, July 4, and September 5. Each session begins at 1:00 p.m. at the “der Radler” bike station at Wiesbaden Central Station, Platform 11. Participants will use their own bicycles for practice. Any necessary replacement parts can be purchased on-site if needed.

There is a fee of 5 euros. Tickets are available at the Umweltladen, Luisenstraße 19. Opening hours are Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
