The Election Office, which serves as the administrative office of the municipal election director, has reviewed all 247 election records from the election boards for the city council election, all 247 election records for the local advisory council elections, and all 247 election records for the Foreign Residents’ Advisory Council election (consolidated into 13 electoral districts). Even before the meeting, the members of the Election Committee had the opportunity to review the minutes and the compilation of results by electoral precinct and absentee ballot precinct. 

During the review of the documents for legality and completeness, it was determined that a large number of ballots had been wrongly declared invalid. The results of this review were presented to the Election Committee. These minor corrections resulted in a shift in the distribution of seats in the city council election. Compared to the preliminary official final results, the CDU loses one seat, while Die PARTEI gains one seat. 

In the local advisory council election for absentee voting district 99024 in the Wiesbaden-Nordost district, there were such significant and unexplained discrepancies in the election results that the Election Committee recommends to the City Council that a repeat election be ordered for this absentee voting district.
