"Summer in the Castle" invites you to Platte Hunting Lodge on May 30th

On Saturday, May 30, the event management trainees at the Friedrich-List-Schule Wiesbaden invite you to the summer and family festival "Summer in the Castle" in and around the Jagdschloss Platte from 12 noon to 6 pm.

Visitors can look forward to a day full of variety in a unique historical setting, featuring culinary delights, music, hands-on activities, and a summer program for the whole family. Admission is free.

“Summer at the Castle is a wonderful opportunity to experience Platte Hunting Lodge from the inside as well. As a special place high above the rooftops of Wiesbaden, it captivates visitors with its extraordinary atmosphere. I am all the more delighted that visitors will be able to explore the building on this day,” says Mayor and Head of Economic Affairs Christiane Hinninger.

The event is being organized by trainees from the Friedrich-List-Schule Wiesbaden as part of their training to become event managers. The goal is to apply theoretical knowledge and skills acquired at their training companies in a practical setting through their own event format. Four trainees from Wiesbaden Congress & Marketing GmbH are also involved in the planning. The event is being implemented in cooperation with Wiesbaden Congress & Marketing GmbH, the operator of the Jagdschloss Platte.

“It’s wonderful to see the dedication and sense of responsibility with which the trainees approach the planning and execution. Young people from various companies have the opportunity here to gain important practical experience and apply their knowledge directly in a real-world event setting,” says Martin Michel, Managing Director of Wiesbaden Congress & Marketing GmbH.

On the forecourt, food trucks and a beverage stand will offer a variety of culinary delights. For children and families, there will be a bouncy castle and an XXL Connect Four game, among other attractions. On the ground floor of the Jagdschloss, cake and waffle sales, children’s crafts, and face painting invite visitors to linger. On the upper floor, a small market with various stalls will be set up, along with an art workshop themed “My Most Beautiful Wiesbaden.” The outdoor area will also be part of the festival: on the lawn behind the palace, there will be a wine stand in cooperation with the “Wiesbaden Rheingau” destination, seating, and musical entertainment provided by a DJ.

With “Summer at the Castle,” the Platte Hunting Lodge once again becomes a place for socializing, culture, and summer experiences. The festival combines a diverse program with the special atmosphere of one of Wiesbaden’s most beautiful locations.

Additional vendor spaces are currently being allocated for the market on the upper floor of the palace. Interested parties can register by email at sommerimschlossgmailcom or via Instagram at www.instagram.com/sommer.im.schloss. The registration fee is 25 euros per booth. Each booth measures 3 by 2.5 meters.
