New self-help group for people with autoimmune diseases
On Wednesday, May 13, the new self-help group for people with autoimmune diseases cordially invites all interested parties and those affected to its inaugural meeting.
The meeting will take place at 7:00 p.m. at the Wiesbaden Foundation’s service center, located at Michelsberg 6. Please register with Uta Ehemann at uie.meinepostgmxde.
Everyone affected by an autoimmune disease is warmly welcome to join the support group. The focus is on fostering an understanding and supportive exchange among all those affected. Nutrition in the context of autoimmune diseases will also be an important topic for the group. This exchange aims to improve quality of life and help those affected feel better understood and less alone. Among the most well-known autoimmune diseases are multiple sclerosis, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, Hashimoto’s disease, celiac disease, Graves’ disease, and collagenoses.
In Wiesbaden, there are about a hundred self-help groups whose members meet regularly to discuss diseases and their consequences. They are supported by the Self-Help Contact Center, which is located within the Public Health Department.
