"Focus on the eye" as a guest at the Belle Wi sample exhibition

On Tuesday, June 2, 2 to 6 p.m., Thomas Sauer from "Blickpunkt Auge Wiesbaden" will be a guest at the Belle Wi sample exhibition at Föhrer Straße 74. He will be answering individual questions about vision. Thomas Sauer will also provide information on aids and the use of smartphones for people with declining eyesight.

Those interested can try out various products right on site, including a text-to-speech device and voice-activated household appliances, such as a stove and a washing machine. Voice assistants for controlling smart home devices and a screen reader are also available. No registration is required for this free consultation. “Blickpunkt Auge” is a service offered by the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Hesse. Since 2016, the Office for Social Work has been presenting practical solutions for making homes comfortable and barrier-free in the Belle Wi model exhibition: through assistive devices, helpful technology, and home modifications. The opening hours for this free permanent exhibition are Tuesdays from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Guided tours for groups are available by prior appointment.
