Convention Wiesbaden takes positive stock of IMEX Frankfurt
Convention Wiesbaden successfully presented itself at IMEX Frankfurt from Tuesday, May 19 to Thursday, May 21. At the international trade fair for meetings, incentives, congresses and events, the team presented the Hessian state capital as an attractive event destination with the three event venues RheinMain CongressCenter, Kurhaus Wiesbaden and Jagdschloss Platte at the Germany stand.
For Wiesbaden Congress & Marketing GmbH, the trade show has been a key event in the event sales sector for many years, providing an opportunity to engage with national and international event planners from companies, associations, and agencies and to position Wiesbaden as a high-performing destination. Thanks to its close proximity to Frankfurt, the trade show also offers ideal conditions for showcasing Wiesbaden’s advantages—from excellent accessibility and a high quality of life to the diversity of event venues—directly to the international market.
A special highlight of the trade show appearance was the “Buyer Pitch” on Wednesday, May 20, at 3 p.m. at the Germany Pavilion. There, Convention Wiesbaden presented the destination of Wiesbaden to international buyers and provided insights into the possibilities for congresses, conferences, incentives, and events in the city. The Convention Wiesbaden booth was well-attended throughout the entire trade show. Particularly encouraging was the strong interest from event organizers in the direct sales sector, who are considering Wiesbaden as a future venue for their events. The topics of sustainability, special supporting programs, and bookable experiences also played an important role in the discussions. In this way, Convention Wiesbaden is building on its strategic focus of supporting event organizers not only with suitable venues but also with sustainable solutions and attractive experiential elements for their participants.
The upcoming Educational Tour in Wiesbaden in August was also promoted at IMEX. Event planners are invited to get to know Wiesbaden as a conference destination during an exclusive discovery tour and an exciting workshop. “The Educational Tour has been an important sales component for years in the marketing of WICM’s convention and conference venues, as it allows participants to experience Wiesbaden and its conference facilities firsthand, facilitates networking with colleagues, and offers high-quality knowledge through thematic presentations,” adds WICM Managing Director Martin Michel.
