Digital participation on wheels: Zukunftswerk brings AI to life at "Belle Wi"
Zukunftswerk Wiesbaden will be represented with the WiBike at the Belle Wi showcase exhibition on barrier-free living and helpful everyday technology in the Sauerland district on Friday, May 29, from 2.30 to 4.30 pm. The focus will be on how digitalization, artificial intelligence (AI) and technical solutions can support people in their everyday lives and strengthen social participation.
With its mobile format, Zukunftswerk brings digital services directly to the places where people meet and interact. The goal is to engage with local residents, break down barriers to participation, and provide easy access to the digital services offered by the state capital of Wiesbaden.
The Zukunftswerk team provides information about free workshops and learning opportunities on digital and smart topics. The content ranges from basic digital skills to the use of online services and digital government services, all the way to current developments and practical applications in the field of artificial intelligence.
“Digitalization and artificial intelligence can make everyday life easier for many people. However, it is crucial that everyone truly has access to these opportunities. That is why digital offerings must be understandable, accessible, and suitable for everyday use. Especially when it comes to inclusion, technology can help break down barriers, strengthen independence, and create new forms of participation,” says Maral Koohestanian, Head of the Department for Smart City, Europe, and Public Order.
A special focus is on interactive, hands-on activities centered on the topic of artificial intelligence. Visitors can try out AI right on site and gain their own experience with the technology. In addition to the popular AI cubes, which offer a playful introduction to using AI, an AI image quiz also invites visitors to engage creatively and intuitively with artificially generated content. Interested visitors will experience how AI reacts to inputs, generates content, and what opportunities—but also limitations—are associated with the technology.
Participation is open to the public at any time and requires no prior knowledge.
