Press release of the state capital Wiesbaden

Climate café: offering to talk about the climate crisis

Many people perceive the climate crisis not only as an ecological issue, but also as a personal burden. With the Climate Café, the state capital of Wiesbaden is therefore offering a discussion forum for people who feel emotionally burdened by the climate crisis and its consequences. The events are organized by the Environmental Agency and the Health Department.

The Climate Café is a safe space for discussion and mutual support. The focus is on personal concerns, uncertainties, and thoughts about the future. Discussions take place in small groups. After a brief introduction, participants share their experiences and feelings regarding the climate crisis. They are guided by an experienced facilitator.

The first Climate Café begins on Thursday, June 25, at 7 p.m. at the Umweltladen, Luisenstraße 19. Additional monthly sessions through November are already available for booking. Anyone interested who is 18 or older can participate in this free event once or multiple times. For more information and to register, visit wiesbaden.de/klimacafe (opens in a new tab).
