Press release of the state capital Wiesbaden

"Let's Play - the courage to participate" in the town hall

"Let's Play - Courage to Participate": This is the motto under which young people between the ages of 14 and 21 will meet politicians on Wednesday, June 17 and Thursday, June 18, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the town hall, Schlossplatz 6 - playfully, directly and at eye level. Registration for school classes and youth groups is possible until June 12 by e-mail to mitwirken@wiesbaden.de.

There are still a few spots available for both Wednesday, June 17, and Thursday, June 18.

Foosball tables, video game consoles, and mini-games will serve as the setting for dialogue between young people and politicians. In a relaxed atmosphere, there will be space for interaction and conversation where topics, questions, and ideas can be shared.

In addition to this playful exchange, young people can test their knowledge of Wiesbaden’s politics in a quiz. Prizes such as tablets or vouchers for recreational activities in the city are up for grabs. The Medienzentrum Wiesbaden e.V., as part of the Studioreif project, invites participants to explore the podcast studio and interview politicians.

The event is organized by the Public Participation Division of the mitWIrken Office and the Department of Social Work, Youth Information Center Team. Further information and the ongoing program are available at wiesbadenwirkt.de/letsplay (opens in a new tab).

Questions about the event can be directed to the “mitWIrken – Engagement. University. Public Participation.” unit at 0611 31 4579 and mitwirken@wiesbaden.
