Lilienparken further expands charging network in parking garages

The charging infrastructure in the Lilienparken parking garages managed by WiBau is being further expanded. Together with ESWE Versorgung, the state capital of Wiesbaden and WiBau are continuing to promote electromobility in the city and are creating offers for drivers of electric vehicles that are suitable for everyday use.

In March and April of this year, a total of 20 additional charging points were put into operation at the Luisenplatz parking garage, including 16 AC charging points and four DC fast-charging stations. This continues to expand the network of publicly accessible charging points in Wiesbaden’s parking garages.

A prime example of the development of modern mobility hubs is the Elsässer Platz parking garage on Klarenthaler Straße. A total of 429 charging points are now available there, including eight DC fast-charging stations. In addition, users there benefit from 45 minutes of free parking while their vehicles are charging.

WiBau is increasingly developing the Lilienparken parking garages it manages into multifunctional mobility hubs. In addition to traditional parking services, charging infrastructure and complementary mobility services are becoming increasingly important.

“The expansion of the charging infrastructure is a key component of the mobility transition in Wiesbaden. With the Lilienparken parking garages, we are creating local, easily accessible options for electric mobility—especially for people who do not have their own charging facilities at home, as well as for guests and visitors to our city. Modern parking garages are thus increasingly becoming important mobility hubs in the city,” explains Andreas Kowol, Head of the Department of Construction and Transportation for the state capital of Wiesbaden and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of WiBau.

Under the Lilienparken umbrella brand, WiBau operates five parking garages with 1,870 parking spaces in Wiesbaden, of which a total of 479 spaces are now equipped with charging points.

In June, a joint promotional campaign with ESWE Versorgung will expand the offering. Throughout June, customers can charge their electric vehicles for 0.29 euros per kilowatt-hour in all Lilienparken parking garages. The rate applies when paying via the ESWE charging app or by QR code.
