Repair café with sewing station in the Umweltladen
The Repair Café on Tour will be back at the Umweltladen, Luisenstraße 19, on Saturday, May 23. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., experienced helpers will ensure that defective electrical appliances and children's toys are given a second life with screwdrivers and soldering irons.
You can also bring in clothing and repair it yourself with guidance. For minor damage such as missing buttons, small holes, or come-undone seams, assistance is available so that you can mend the garments yourself.
Items in need of repair can be dropped off at the environmental store by 11:30 a.m. and picked up again by 2:00 p.m.
The Repair Café aims to extend the lifespan of consumer goods and conserve resources. The service thus not only contributes to environmental protection but also supports low-income households, for whom repairs or new purchases often pose a financial hurdle.
