RheinMain CongressCenter: Strong location for health care events

The RheinMain CongressCenter (RMCC) in Wiesbaden is further expanding its position as a sought-after venue for congresses, conferences and specialist meetings in the health and medical sector in 2026. Throughout the year, the venue is booked for a wide range of high-caliber formats, from scientific congresses to industry meetings and networking events to healthcare formats aimed at the general public.

Events that have already taken place include Interbiologica on March 14 and 15 and PharmaCongress/PharmaTechnica on March 24 and 25. One of the largest conferences of the year, the 132nd Congress of the German Society of Internal Medicine, took place from April 18 to 21 and once again attracted over 4,000 visitors each day. The DZL Annual Meeting (German Center for Lung Research) will take place from June 9 to 11. The 21st German Allergy Congress will be held from October 1 to 3, and the Annual Meeting of the German Society for Sleep Research and Sleep Medicine from November 5 to 7. The annual program is complemented by two international executive conferences organized by a global pharmaceutical company.

“The wide variety of events demonstrates that Wiesbaden and the RheinMain CongressCenter are excellently positioned in the healthcare sector. Medical and health-related congresses in particular not only bring high-caliber professional audiences to the city but also strengthen Wiesbaden as a healthcare hub with a long tradition and significant future relevance,” says Mayor and Head of the Economic Affairs Department Christiane Hinninger.

With formats covering internal medicine, allergology, sleep research, naturopathy, pulmonary research, and the pharmaceutical industry, the 2026 event calendar reflects the thematic breadth of the healthcare sector. At the same time, it underscores the RMCC’s particular suitability for events with diverse requirements, such as large congresses, scientific trade exhibitions, accompanying networking events, and publicly accessible information offerings. For the sixth time, the Rhein-Main Publishing Group (VRM) is hosting an information day focused on health. On September 12, interested individuals will have the opportunity to speak with doctors, hospital representatives, and regional providers and learn about current medical developments, prevention, and health services.

As early as 2025, many renowned medical events and major annual conferences were hosted in the state capital and at the RMCC. For 2026, the RMCC is continuing this trend with numerous additional events. “With its modern infrastructure, flexible room layout, and central location, the RMCC offers ideal conditions for healthcare events. The fact that so many established congresses, conferences, and industry gatherings choose Wiesbaden and return—such as the Annual Sleep Medicine Conference, which was already hosted at the RMCC in 2023—confirms our venue’s strong market position,” says Martin Michel, Managing Director of Wiesbaden Congress & Marketing GmbH.

Of particular importance here is not only the professional prestige of the events but also their impact on the city as a whole. Multi-day congresses and conferences generate demand in the hotel, restaurant, and other service sectors, thereby making an important contribution to value creation in Wiesbaden.

With its broad portfolio of events in 2026, the RMCC is sending a strong signal: Wiesbaden is an established and capable hub for professional exchange in the medical and health sectors.
